SAE Engineering Scholarship Program December Students must be planning to earn a degree in engineering or related science. Meet minimum requirements with regard to grade point average, SAT Reasoning Test and/or ACT scores as outlined in the individual requirements of each scholarship.


Toyota Community Scholars Program December The scholarship awards100 renewable scholarships valued at $10,000 and $20,000 over four years to outstanding high school seniors for excellence in academics and for making meaningful contributions of service to their schools and their communities.


AIA/AAF Minority Disadvangtaged Scholarship December Only students entering a professional degree program leading to a Bachelor or Master of Architecture are eligible for the scholarship. Applicants will be asked to provide an essay explaining their interest in architecture, a description of financial disadvantages, GPA and SAT or ACT scores, and a free-hand drawing.

High School Scholarship Program- Hispanic Scholarship Fund December For students of Hispanic heritage. Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident. 3.0 GPA


NFIB Young Entrepreneurs Award December For students who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and initiative.


AFSCME Family Scholarship December Must be a child or dependent grandchild of an active or retired AFSCME member.

All-ink.com December Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 2.5 GPA. 2 separate 50 – 200 word essays required.


Imagine America December For students planning to attend a participating Vocational/Career school. 2.5 GPA. Seniors can apply after January 1 of their senior year.

School Band and Orchestra’s Essay Contest December 250 word essay on the topic of: “How my music teacher has influenced me and my goals in school..."

Lead Roster B2B Sales and Marketing Scholarship December For students interested in sales and marketing. Must submit a URL of a video that you have uploaded to YouTube where you explain, present, convince, inspire, entertain, market and or sell your reason you deserve to win the $1,000 scholarship.

The Publicity.ai SEO & Content Marketing Scholarship December Students must submit a brief essay explaining the best use of content marketing in 5 paragraphs or less. Scholarship is $1000.



Unigo 10K Scholarship December $10,000.00 scholarship. Must submit an online written response (140 characters or less) to the question: "Surprise! You Just got elected president. What’s your first tweet?" Must be 13 years or older at the time of application, Legal resident of the US, and be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than 2023) in an accredited post-secondary institiution of higher education.



NSSAR George S. and Stella M. knight Essay Contest December $5000.00 scholarship. Must submit an essay on an event, person, philosphy, or ideal associated with the America Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the U.S Constitution. Three awards offered for 1st ($5000), 2nd ($2500), and 3rd ($1000) place winners.



Sacramento Links Incorporated  January  Scholarship focused on STEM students. Personal interview will be required for finalist. Official Transcripts will be required along with a letter of recommendation for applicants. Awards will be announced at Achievers Luncheon April 14, 2018
Redfin Scholarship January $2,500.00 biannual scholarship open to high school seniors and current college students.

Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Fund January 3.0 GPA  Financial need.  Short essay required. 


California Scottish Rite Foundation- Memorial Scholarship Fund and Special Scholarship Fund January 3.0 GPA  Based on character, grades, financial need and part-time employment.  Applications must be requested by February 8th.  


Family and Consumer Science Related Career Student Scholarship January For students pursuing career studies in any related Family and Consumer Science field ( Consumer Science, Child Development, Food Science Nutrition, Food Service/Hospitality, Fashion, Interior Design, Family and Consumer Science Education) 


Joe Foss Institute Scholarship Contest January Open to all students in 7th – 12th grades. Students write an essay on the theme “I Pledge Allegiance To The Flag….” 


California Association of State and Federal Education Programs January Needs leadership in school or community activities, a 3.0 GPA  application in Career Center


Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship January Must be a dependent child of a Navy or Marine Corps personnel killed or wounded while on active duty.      


Carl H. Unruh Undergraduate Scholarship January Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate at UCLA. Must (1) be an adoptee; (2) come from a family that includes one or more adoptees;(3) be a birth parent who has surrendered a child for adoption; (4) have spent time in foster care; and/or (5) have a research



Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship Program January An Essay competition for seniors who are children of full-time or retires public employees.  Student essay should propose ways to reduce the accident rate among teenagers.  


Hispanic Scholarship Fund January Attended High School in California for 3 or more years, 3.0 GPA , plan to attend a Calif community college, a CSU or UC, and be a non-citizen in the process of filing or planning to file for lawful immigration status.  Be of Hispanic heritage 


Eskwela Natin January 3.0 GPA , 12th grade students of Filipino descent


AICPA Minority Scholarship January  For Black  or  African  American;  Hispanic  or  Latino;  Native  American;  or  Asian  American students who will be a declared Accounting major.  Student must plan to pursue a CPA credential.  

The 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Essay Contest
 January  Must write an essay on What it would take to make Martin Luther King's, "I Have a Dream" speech a reality today. 1st place Winners will win cash prize of $250.00. Essay must not be more than 300 words and this is open to middle school and high school students.

January For students who have participated in AVID for 2 years.  2.4 GPA, financial need.   Participating in a Michael & Susan Dell Foundation approved college readiness program for a minimum of two of the last three years

Alliance for Women in Media- Karen Onstad Outstanding Student Scholarship January To recognize students of broadcasting/journalism and communications programs who produce news stories that further the triumph of the human spirit.  Students must provide an essay that explains their educational and career goals within the field. Minimum 3.0 GPA is required 

Ron Brown Scholar Program  January For African-American students. Leadership skills, impact on community, demonstrate financial need, academic excellence.  

The Coolidge Scholarship January  Full-ride Merit scholarship which covers tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. Highly based on merit. Also one-time $5,000 scholarship award for students who have made it to the finalist level but do not win the full ride scholarship.

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

Must be 14 years of age or older (9th -12th graders). Compete in a virtual Budget Challenge against Eligible Students in your classroom and at schools throughout the country. Eligible to win $20,000.


Students should be well rounded, determined to succeed and have demonstrated achievement – at a job, sport or extracurricular activity.  For students with that extra element of grit and determination.


California State PTA February Scholarship focuses on volunteer or community service. Must be a California resident and member of PTSA.


Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for First Years February For females only and will be based on the strength of academic background, passion for computer science, community service and leadership.  Student must plan to major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related program.  


Junior Achievement – Joe Francomano Scholarship February For students who have been involved in Junior Achievement programs.

AFA Teens for Alzheimers Awareness scholarship February The scholarship is an opportunity for students to give thoughtful consideration to the impact Alzheimer’s disease has on their own lives and others in their family and community. 


Banatao Filipino American February Must have Filipino heritage (at least 50%), Plan to major in engineering, computer or applied sciences at a 4 year college or university.  3.0 GPA , Financial need.  



California Masonic Foundation February Must be a U.S. citizen and current legal resident of California for at least one year. 3.0 GPA.  Financial need.   

FFA Collegiate Scholarship Program February Must be a US Citizen, and current FFA member. 
National FFA Organization Scholarships February Miscellaneous FFA Scholarships.  Applicant must be a current FFA member.  

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship February For students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or fowl.  Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle. 

CORE’s Que Llueva Café Scholarship February The scholarship is open to undocumented students of Chicano/Latino descent.  

Soroptimist International of Sacramento February 3.0 GPA, financial need, personal statement. 

Active 20-30 Club of Sacramento #1032 Community Service Scholarship February For high school senior women.  3.0 GPA, community service/volunteer experience/ career goals and an essay discussing that experience or goals

Soroptimist Youth Citizenship Awards February Service, dependability, leadership, clear sense of purpose, letters of reference. 

Asian Pacific Fund February Multiple scholarships designed for Asian students with financial need. Scholarships ranging from $1000 to $20,000. Requirements vary depending on scholarships.
Bezos Scholars Program February Program inspires and challenges young people to act on their passions to address community needs. 12 individuals are selected from across the US. Comprised of high school junior and one educator from their school. Students should demonstrate academic rigor, curiosity, and leadership. $1000.00 seed funding for programs started in community
 The AFSCME Free College Benefit  Varies Offers the chance to earn an online degree from an accredited school with no out of pocket expense. For AFSCME members, retired members and family members of AFSCME members. Offer AA degree and Certificate programs.

eQuality Scholarship Collaborative February Scholarship recognizing the LGBT+ community. For graduating high school, community college, nursing, and medical students in northen and central California. Must be planning or begun to attend an accredited post-secondary institution for the first time in 2018.
