Boy Scouts of America/National Eagle Scout Asosciation October Applicant must have been granted the Eagle Scout rank, or have applied for Eagle Scout.  SAT of 1090 or ACT of 26.
Wendy’s High School Heisman October Recognizes seniors for excellence in academics, athletics, & leadership.  3.0 GPA 
AES Engineering Scholarship October Scholarship for motivated students.  Short essay required.
Hispanic Heritage Youth Award  October  For students of Hispanic heritage. 
Horatio Alger California Scholarship Program October The scholarship is looking for a student who has financial need and has exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.  The student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree, and must be a citizen. 


Women’s Transportation Seminar- Sacramento Chapter October For young women interested in pursuing a career in a transportation-related field including engineering, math, architecture, geography, business. law, political science, history, environmental science, English, planning, government policy and more.  3.0 GPA .  


The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation October They are looking for the well-rounded individual with a highly developed interest in their community.  Scholarship based on a balance of academics, extra-curricular activities, and community service. Must be a graduating senior to apply.


MAKE THE U  October For students of Hispanic Heritage.


Most Valuable Student Scholaraship November Must be a highs school senior and a US citizen to apply. Scholarship offered to 500 students nationwide. Applicant does not have to be related to a member of the Elks. Male and female students compete separately.
Asian American Journalists Assoc November Students interested in Journalism.  Based on commitment to the field of journalism; and/or sensitivity to Asian American and Pacific Islander issues; journalistic ability; scholastic ability; and financial need.   

Prudential Spirit of Community Award November This is a national competition to honor young people for outstanding volunteer service.  
Dr. Pepper Tuition Challenge November Students must be 18 years old when entering.  Student creates a 1 minute video explaining why they deserve tuition.  Must be age 18-24
Veterans of Foreign Wars – Voice of Democracy Patriotic Audio Essay Competition November Student will complete a 3-5 minute audio essay (on cassette) on the theme “Does America Still Have Heroes?”
Stokes Educational Scholarship Program - November Program will pay for 4 years at the college of your choice with the requirement that upon completion of college you will  work for the NSA for approximately 5-6 years.   Open to everyone, particularly minority and disabled students.  Minimum of 1100 SAT or composite ACT of 25, 3.0+ GPA, demonstrate leadership abilities and U.S. Citizen.  Must be planning on majoring in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Languages, or Mathematics.  

Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program November 2.8 GPA Based on community service, leadership and work experience. You must fill out a Letter of Recommendation packet and turn it in to your counselor.  

American Quarter Horse Foundation December Involvement in American Quarter Horse Foundation.  Academic merit, level of financial need, &  career plans. 

NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund December For students in grades 9-12.  Essay should be based on the theme: The Second Amendment to the Constitution: Why is it Important to our Nation 


SAE Engineering Scholarship Program December Students must be planning to earn a degree in engineering or related science.  Meet minimum requirements with regard to grade point average, SAT Reasoning Test and/or ACT scores as outlined in the individual requirements of each scholarship.


Toyota Community Scholars Program December The scholarship awards100 renewable scholarships valued at $10,000 and $20,000 over four years to outstanding high school seniors for excellence in academics and for making meaningful contributions of service to their schools and their communities.  



AIA/AAF Minority Disadvangtaged Scholarship December Only students entering a professional degree program leading to a Bachelor or Master of Architecture are eligible for the scholarship. Applicants will be asked to provide an essay explaining their interest in architecture, a description of financial disadvantages, GPA and SAT or ACT scores, and a free-hand drawing. 


High School Scholarship Program- Hispanic Scholarship Fund December For students of Hispanic heritage.  Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.  3.0 GPA 

NFIB Young Entrepreneurs Award December For students who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and initiative.  


AFSCME Family Scholarship December Must be a child or dependent grandchild of an active or retired AFSCME member.  



All-ink.com December Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  2 separate 50 – 200 word essays required. 



Imagine America December For students planning to attend a participating Vocational/Career school.  2.5 GPA.  Seniors can apply after January 1 of their senior year. 


School Band and Orchestra’s Essay Contest December 250 word essay on the topic of:  “How my music teacher has influenced me and my goals in school..."
