Hey everyone! Stay updated about the latest academy information and meeting dates via our DATA Facebook page.

Hungry for some cookies?

We sell Otis Spunkmeyer cookies after-school every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:40 PM. Choose from chocolate chip and white chocolate macadamia nut. Each bag has two cookies and will cost $1. Cookies are sold in the HG Prep room.

Cookies are also sold at the general DATA meetings every month in the cafeteria after the meeting.

Microsoft 365

Great News! Microsoft 2016 is available to all DATA students. You can download Microsoft 2016 on up to 5 devices! This includes all of Microsoft Office's products from the latest versions of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, to Skype for Business. But wait! Here's the best part. DATA students will receive these programs for FREE! With these programs, you'll be able to maximize your productivity and create awesome projects. Don't hesitate; take advantage of this opportunity. See Mrs. Lascola (HF-2) or Mr. Lascola (HF-3) for more details.

DATA Cyber

DATA Cyber is an interactive club in which students study and apply materials needed to combat the forces that threaten our computers. Members have the opportunity to participate in the Cyber competitions, offering a chance to test and improve their knowledge of the technological world. If you like investigative programs like CSI, DATA Cyber just may be the club for you! Meetings are every Tuesday and Thursday in HF-2.

DATA Derby

DATA Derby is a fun way to get involved with DATA and maybe even win a prize! Our first winner will be crowned at our October DATA meeting. Each month there will be lots of fun activities for you to join so you can earn points. Some things you can get points for are: Participating in virtual activities and events, Competing and winning in upcoming virtual games and contests,  and answering questions about our General Meetings.

Are you a Junior or Senior looking for a summer internship? Come to our Lennar workshops! Lennar is a home construction and real estate company that needs students like you to work for them. They are willing to pay interns approximately fifteen dollars an hour, what a catch! Be sure to come to the next workshop on January 15th and learn what the Interior Logic Groups has to show us about construction. We will be installing tiles from 3:15- 5:15 pm in HF5 (DATA Workshop). Stay tuned for upcoming Lennar events and internship opportunities.

Presidential Service Award

You can be rewarded for doing community service! If you are 15 years of age or younger, as little as 50 hours of community service can get you the Bronze Presidential Service Award. So get those hours clocked in ASAP! Turn these hours to Mrs. Lascola by March 20, 2019.
