There are many styles of dance and the company celebrates diversity and unity through movement. The dancers work hard on their technique and performance qualities. Impulse Dance Company members perform at assemblies, rallies, sporting events, community events, and an end of the year mainstage production. The dancers also guest perform in other EGUSD dance company shows and take various dance workshops. Impulse begins rehearsing over the summer and has practices all year long. Rachael Yoder, Director- [email protected]

The choral program consists of three levels that perform at various events throughout the school and community including concerts, rallies, athletic events, and competitions.

Concert Choir—our entry-level choir designed to teach the basics of choral singing and musicianship.

Intro to Vocal Ensemble—our intermediate level choir where students gain more training and experience in the choral arts as taught in Concert Choir.

Vocal Ensemble—our top choir! This audition-only group consists of the most self-motivated and dedicated of our vocal students who have a solid musical foundation and work together on and off-term to present some of our most difficult and beautiful repertoire in concert and competition as well as at recruitment and community outreach events.

“All of art is a search for ways of being, of living life more fully.” -August Wilson

Whether acting on stage, working behind the scenes, or sitting in the audience, our students have many opportunities to “live life more fully” by getting involved in theatre at MTHS. Since our first production of “Godspell, Jr.” in 2005, the award-winning MTHS theatre program has produced 24 plays and 13 musicals for thousands of MTHS students and individuals from the surrounding community.

For those who want to study theatre, we offer beginning through advanced classes. We also offer an after-school program. MTHS students with a 2.0 GPA, after school availability, and an interest in theatre may audition for the fall play and spring musical. Students cast in these productions rehearse after school and perform multiple shows for our MTHS student body and community.
